With breathtaking views of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, Hualalai and the
rolling green slopes of the Kohala mountains, the Waimea Views Guesthouse
offers you a private room and bath in a lovely, peaceful setting on
the dryside of beautiful Waimea.
The small town of Waimea (Kamuela) is a mecca for creative artists
and crafts people, a center of organic farming and sustainable ranching
for the islands and is, as well, a place for healing-a pioneer in
the nation-wide movement toward integrating natural and allopathic
medical practices.
This area has many fine restaurants specializing in fresh, organic
ingredients, grass fed beef and lamb and fresh seafood just caught
from our local waters.
We are only fifteen minutes from the Kohala Coast with its world-famous
beaches, affording every kind of water sport. It is a short, scenic
drive into quaint North Kohala and the beautiful Pololu Valley and
black sand beach -- or, in another direction, to Honoka'a town and
the spectacular Wai'pi'o Valley. In addition, we are the nearest access
point to the truly inspiring experience of stargazing on Mauna Kea.
Waimea is the third largest town on the island and is located approximately
halfway between Hilo and Kona. At 2500 feet, on the slopes of Mauna
Kea, our normal weather is sunny days and cool nights — perfect
for deep, restful sleep. |
