From the KONA airport, turn left on Hwy 19. Drive approx.
27 miles (past two stoplights to a stop sign where Hwy 19 turns
uphill to Waimea. When you see the "60 mile" marker
and "Welcome to Waimea" signs, keep going on 19 for
about 3/4 mile. You will pass the junction with Hwy 250. Go
up a small rise, then look for a bown rock wall on your left.
The very next driveway past the wall is ours and it has a white
post on each side with many reflectors on it which will help
locate it at night. It also has three mailboxes and the address
on ours is 65-1546A. Turn left between the posts and go by the
first house, turning into the second--a two story lavender house
with yellow doors.
From HILO on Hwy 19. Waimea has three stoplights. At the 3rd light,
hwy 19 turns right and heads down the mountain towards Kawaihae. This
is also called "Kawaihae Road". Proceed down Kawaihae Road
past all the business district, approx. 1-1/2 miles. On the right
you will see some ranch-type houses with white fences. One has a sign
saying "Jacaranda Inn.” Just around a small curve there
is a large green watertank in the pasture on the left. Just past the
watertank (on the right) are two driveways. Ours is the second one.
